I was a weird kid – but then, the seventies were a truly weird time to be a kid – especially growing up inside an urban commune filled with characters and ideas from all over the map – and crazytown too!

For years I chose not to look back, because like so many from my generation, the experiences of pain just plain hurt too much – but then I discovered a new kind of writing – selective and gratitude seeking, and with this tool I have been able to reach back more courageously and make friends once more with that precocious oddball – to finally give him full voice (and even the odd bit of drawing paper). ;o)

These strange and funny short stories from life are all rightly his, not mine – so my gratitude must extend also to that odd kid for making it through, even with all the eccentric and unexpected help described herein – and allowing me to write this.

Just as you owe your inner kid thanks, for the strength they somehow found.
