For anyone who thinks I was a bit hard on Chomsky in this piece - here's a heartbreaking piece from Mintnews which breaks it down. The guy chose Epstein over HIS OWN KIDS!

Case in point.

When I talk about two highways to tyranny, people still trapped in (supremacist) western tribalism will always misunderstand me. We are so used to thinking the ‘real’ arguments are between groups of rich white people, that we don’t recognize when both sides of our argument are insane and mass murderous.

But folks – both sides of our current argument are insane and mass murderous.

Trump’s most shocking characteristic is where he lies and where he is radically honest. What Obama did to Libya was ten thousand times worse than what Trump did to Venezuala (so far) and probably worse than anything the US is now capable of (finances and military both in truly pathetic shape).

But Trump broke the spell-of-words that made us think our violence was virtuous – which is far more enraging to us, than our own violence against others HAS EVER ONCE BEEN FOR ANY FACTION.

Be clear – he’s bonkers and dangerous. But then be clearer still – the whole west has been, this whole time (which means we are either mass-murder supporting and complicit profiteers (long the majority on both fake left and fake right), or else trying our best to wake our culture up to do better).

For the slow group – the idea the Europe represents a sane cultured rights-valuing civilization resisting Trump’s madness is very simply wrong. We have two crazed racist killer cultures fighting tooth and nail for who gets the right to lynch the most subhuman foreigners. Just like always.

“The footpath that gets us to freedom” is the very different mutual-benefit path, that the rest of the world (the parts that we demonize, mass murder, sanction and then sneer-at, for being less advanced) have been working on, while we’ve spent this whole century planning brave new graveyards for the centuries of blood and dominance ahead.

For the doubting (and since this won’t be covered on BigNews) here’s “supposedly Civilized” France in action (and you can bet UK and US colonialist bankers-war-creeps were helping plenty, too).

Show me the global protests against THIS action, and I’ll show you the true left (crickets, of course).

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Check out the story below for the latest on European murderous scumbags – losing, again (thankfully).

Hey folks!

As the wacky musicians of “Madness” used to say “Don’t watch dat, watch dis!”

Here is Jacques Baud speaking once again to Nima, but this time after Venezuala – and doing a truly fantastic job of pointing out the active state of madness of ALL parties in the so-called ‘advanced’ west – progressive and conservative.

Factions irrelevant - we are officially the bad guys, folks – by all of our own most sacred standards.

It was long said that diplomatically, the Americans played Poker, while the Russians played Chess.

At this point it is clear the Chinese play diplomatic (and economic) Go (even more subtle and complex than Chess, and far more about long-term planning) – while America is now all-in playing Cornhole!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay so – incredibly early to tell exactly what (kind of a disaster) this recent weirdness in Venezuala will ultimately turn into – but I was literally laughing out loud today, when I caught updates from my two favourite observers of the great economic war, which no one here (the West) will discuss honestly.

First Sean Foo – who buys into several ideas which are more propaganda than reality (especially in terms of oil reserves which are recoverable at anything like a profit – a small fraction of the whole) but also correctly notes that this is all about extending the lifespan of the flailing petro-dollar – because ever since the US went off the gold standard, because of the bankruptcy caused by the war in Vietnam, the US dollar has no intrinsic value EXCEPT as an international trading token for (what was then, the dominant and most profitable form of) industrial energy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaEKDs9iE8M

Foo makes us worry that despite the short-termism of the play, the unlikelihood of adequate financing to get an industry that big up and running in less than a decade (money is flowing into data centres and NOTHING ELSE right now) Trump still might make it look good enough, to try the same trick again (and along that path, for sure step in an incalculably bigger pile of trouble, eventually).

But then right after I finished that video, I tuned in to Kevin Walmsley at “Inside China Business” who is talking about a brand new generation technology with less pollution and far great effeciency than every steam-turbine in the world – and not just pie in the sky stuff either, this tech is already installed and making money, on an industrial scale (which means it is in beta-testing for a truly VAST rollout).

And what is the basic upshot of this CO2 confining, instead of generating, technology? Way less need for foreign oil – and the petrodollars and US (war, economic and) energy hegemony which inevitably benefit from the market draw of such a vast and productive economy as that of China.

Shake a fist? Lose a friend.

In this case, a friend that America and Americans will miss very very very much, and for a long while.

This is what a global winner acts like, folks (future-facing, steady at the tiller, planning and working)

Have fun with cornhole!

Thank you for that - so great to know the trickiest points are landing (and yeah, totally agree about Chomsky - it was so hard to figure out for so long, because he goes such a distance usefully, before he veers off into irrelevance/impotence (and a huge personal paycheque). Have the same feeling about many others that used to charm me (Democracy Now, and Mother Jones, just two), but none break my heart more than the utter Imperialist corruption of the long worker spirited (if never downright revolutionary) "Guardian" in England (Sank rather like England herself, come to think of it, go figure - not that Canadians did any better safeguarding ourselves and our institutions against the rot, to be sure - we're just way easier to ignore!) Cheers mate, much appreciated!
