Deep and thought provoking. At the same time, it breaks my heart watching Putin be successful while slaughtering his population and the populations of countries of the former USSR. I can’t decide if he is the ultimate scorpion, game player or Gandhi and style game player. Or maybe a combination of both, subverting, the traditional power structures, well sacrificing his own people. Thanks again for provoking more deep thought and providing your references. I look forward to listening to them.

Cheers, Paul, thank you for reading and commenting, and I hear you, for sure. But it is important to bear in mind that he was trying to negotiate a comprehensive European peace (so he could disarm much further, and concentrate on profits instead) for twenty straight years, before the shooting started. If he is a monster now (and I honestly can't tell how much is propaganda, and how much reality), he is in large part what we have made him, by blocking every more positive overture (British especially irrational/racist on this file - and for centuries now - sadly, not even the propaganda is new).

Here's a fresh sharp and smart take from Simplicius the thinker - pairs rather well with Ambassador Craig Murray's courageous and heartfelt piece "We Are the Bad Guys"

Here's something superb and timely, for those who still think the new US admin is all downside. Lots of creeps, yes - but several portrayed that way, simply aren't - Patel, Kennedy and Gabbard, topping the list of unusual character.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's an especially useful Mark Wauck piece about US history in Syria (scary).

Really shocking how much different the story sounds, with context!

Here's Yanis Varoufakis (perhaps the smartest leftist economist alive) with a really interesting take on the question of BRICS currency and what he calls techno-feudalism

Hey folks - I know I covered a ton of ground there, so here's some more reading and research material, for those whose curiosity was provoked.

First, here's a link to the most important Arestovich video - from BEFORE the war began. Put a link in the piece, also (should have already, but I am sometimes too hesitant to repeat myself, and I shared this one already, in "This won't be that kind of war."
